For shopkeepers, it is important to keep crooks out of their shops. This is something retailers and police really need to do together. However, information from the police revealed that many shopkeepers do not report shoplifting. Too much work and fear of aggression are mostly the reasons.

How do you view consumers in your own business?https://youtu.be/Om6pLnQat20

But in case of a suspicious situation, a shopkeeper can simply call 112. The police will assess and see if a crime has been committed. Always the information is recorded from the crooks. You may also call 112 after arrest for shoplifting. The police then come as soon as possible, take over the suspect, taken away goods go back to the owner immediately, shop ban for up to a year is issued and the suspect goes to the police station and is questioned and sent away with a report.

To make it extra easy for shopkeepers to file a report, the police have sent us a shoplifting report form and a shop denial form. Just fill in the form and send it in and the rest will be taken care of. No extra hassle!
