Or visit Museum de Casteelse Poort or Sculpture Gallery Het Depot, go to the movies at Heerenstraat Theatre and Visum Mundi, or go to the theatre at Junushoff. In short, Wageningen is well worth a visit even in spring!

    Welcome to the place of peace

    Wageningen is the City of Liberation. For it was at Hotel de Wereld that the capitulation negotiations for the German surrender in the Netherlands were held in May 1945. Now Hotel de Wereld is a modern and contemporary hotel with restaurant, bar, terrace and 17 comfortable rooms. History can still be found in the capitulation hall and at various places in sound and vision. A visit to Wageningen without a visit to Hotel de Wereld is therefore incomplete.

When you come to Wageningen, you immediately feel that it is different here from other cities in the wider area. For where is the atmosphere as international, convivial and welcoming as here?
