Experience the past
Wageningen has a long history, having been granted city rights as early as 1263. You will therefore find a variety of monumental buildings worth seeing. Traces of the past can also be found in the cosy city centre with numerous restaurants and terraces on the Markt near the Grote Kerk.

Villa Sanoer
Villa Sanoer is a monumental 19th-century estate on the east side of Wageningen. It was originally built as a country estate for the De Vries family. Since the 1930s, the villa has functioned as a student boarding house and residence. It has remained so to this day. Villa Sanoer is part of Nieuw Gelders Arcadië.
