Visit Hotel de Wereld on 5 May Square and feel and experience the history of this place. In Hotel de Wereld , the capitulation was negotiated in the days before 5 May 1945, in the hotel you can hear and see these stories. This piece of history is very interesting to experience and witness. The 5 May Square is also home to the nationaal Bevrijdingsmonument where the fire of freedom is lit every year.

See the architecture of the Delft School. The reconstruction of Wageningen was tackled with vigour after the devastation in May 1940. This resulted in houses in Wageningen in the style of the Delft School. they are mainly around the Markt and at the end of the Hoogstraat, where the Bergpoort was located. If you go a bit later in the day, you might enjoy the local restaurants on the Markt.

Walk up Wageningsche berg and stroll through the botanical gardens of Arboretum Belmonte. and enjoy the stunning views of this unique piece of nature.

Graffitti? No street art! A long concrete wall is the impressive backdrop for the work of several artists. In 2025, they will brighten up Wageningen harbour for the fifth consecutive year. The organisation is in the hands of the de bblthks cutlour team.

On Wednesday mornings and Saturdays, there is a fun and busy goods market on the Markt and Raadhuisplein. The goods market is always buzzing and immediately shows you the diversity of Wageningen's population! And on Saturdays, the entrepreneurs of Streekwaar are also at the market with products from the region. The goods market is a fun experience you should definitely bring your shopping bag for :-)
