In 1666, the city council purchased the 'Schutteryenhuys'
purchased and extensively rebuilt in 1698. Above the
entrance with its stately platform is the statue
De Geregtigheijt' by sculptor Ignatius van Logteren
from 1724. The town hall was fitted with a
new wing. In 2015 and 2016, the interior of the city hall was
thoroughly remodelled inside and expanded with new construction
at the rear.
