The two properties known as stadsboerderijtjes
standing properties are among the oldest
of the city. The property on the right is the oldest, being mentioned as early as 1676. From around 1750, they were both occupied by tobacco farmers. In the 19th century, living room pubs arose in the front houses of both stadsboerderijtjes , including Wageningen's first and only student pub. The current destination of the right farmhouse is catering establishments (Borrelbar Proost) (the photo shows the left farmhouse).
