Waste Collective Wageningen

Stichting Afvalcollectief Wageningen starts a new sustainable method of waste collection in Wageningen city centre.
Wageningen clients of care institution Zideris will travel through the city centre on a cargo bicycle to collect cardboard and plastic separately.

Why?

• No more big containers in your warehouse taking up a lot of space.
• Fewer trucks (fine dust) in the centre, so less nuisance for visitors.
• A meaningful day out for people with disabilities.
• Much of the waste is recycled.
• No more containers on the street, so a less cluttered image.

How it works.

• You collect two waste streams: cardboard/paper and plastic film.
• You indicate on the site that you would like waste to be collected.
• Zideris' clients make a pick-up tour of the city centre (at least) twice a week.

For whom.

• We target entrepreneurs in Wageningen city centre.
• We target entrepreneurs who have a contract with ACV.
• The ACV offers these entrepreneurs the opportunity to put their current contract 'on pause' for the duration of the pilot phase (9 months).
